Say Hi To Our Awesome Hygienist, Melissa! March 28, 2017

SOMETIMES, WE’RE GUILTY OF ASSUMING TOO MUCH, RIGHT?

We recently realized that we’ve probably wrongly assumed that ALL of you—our valued patients—know Melissa as well as we do! That’s probably not the case.

So, We Asked Melissa A Few Questions

We asked Melissa a few questions to help you get to know her a little better. Those questions are found below—along with her candid answers! Enjoy!

Where are you originally from?
“LaVale, Maryland”

What made you decide that you wanted to become a dental hygienist?
“Honestly, it came down to either being a hygienist or a nurse because I knew I wanted to do something in the medical field.   I always knew I wanted to have a family, and the flexibility in this profession appealed to me.”

When you started as a dental hygienist was there something funny that happened? Do you dare tell us that story?
“I was taking x-rays one time, and the x-ray head fell out of the wall.  I was fresh out of school and it really shocked me.  It was not at this practice!”

What’s your favorite thing to do when you’re not at work?
“Be with my family, traveling and doing fun things.  I have a large extended family and we are all very  close.”

What do you enjoy most about being a dental hygienist?
“Because I’ve been at the same practice for nearly 20 years, I build relationships with my patients.  I love seeing how my patients’ live have changed over the years.”

We hope you’ve enjoyed getting to know Melissa a little better. Here at our practice we feel really fortunate to have her as a member of our awesome team.
