Say Hi To Our Other Awesome Hygienist, Mandy! April 5, 2017

We believe that knowing and trusting the people who are responsible for your dental health is important.

So, where last week we introduced you to Melissa (you can click here if you’d like to read her blog), this week we want you to get to know Mandy a little better.

So, We Asked Mandy A Few Questions

Those questions are found below—along with her candid answers! Enjoy!

Where are you originally from?
“Lusby, Maryland”

What made you decide that you wanted to become a dental hygienist?
“In High School I became interested in dental hygiene.  When I would go in for my cleanings I started asking questions about what working in the field would look like.  Being a hygienist sounded interesting so it was then that I decided this would be the field for me.”

When you started as a dental hygienist was there something funny that happened? Do you dare tell us that story?
“Yes…I once, in school, tried to take a panoramic x-ray of a patient who was wearing dentures thinking they were his real teeth.  I was so embarrassed.  I’ve never made that mistake again!”

What’s your favorite thing to do when you’re not at work?
“I enjoy shopping for clothes, going antiquing and hanging out with my dog.”

What do you enjoy most about being a dental hygienist?
“I really enjoy working with fearful patients and helping them get through their fear.  I find it so rewarding when they leaving saying ‘That wasn’t so bad!’.

We hope you’ve enjoyed getting to know Mandy a little better. Here at our practice we feel really fortunate to have her as a member of our awesome team.
